Why I Started Pasiuk Local
My Story
My path to local SEO wasn’t traditional. I didn’t graduate with a degree in digital marketing. I spent a couple of years teaching English in South Korea, learning how to communicate clearly across cultural and language barriers.
That experience taught me something I still use every day: clear communication is the foundation of everything. Whether you realize it or not, your Google Business Profile and website are communicating with Google constantly. If that communication is unclear, Google doesn’t know who you are, what you offer, or who to show you to.
When my wife and I came back to the States, we started building travel content sites. What started as a side project turned into a full-time business, and SEO was the engine behind all of it.
Over two years, we generated over 1 million organic clicks across our sites.
Zero ads. Zero social media. 100% organic search.
Then one day, I was talking to a friend who owns a CrossFit gym in Ohio. I mentioned our traffic numbers and he just shook his head. “You’re getting 40,000 organic clicks a month? I’m lucky if we get 100.”
That’s when it clicked.
If these strategies could drive that kind of traffic in one of the most competitive niches online, they’d work even better for local service businesses. Because most local competitors aren’t even thinking about SEO.
